Kate Martin’s New Hairstyle Leaves WNBA Fans In Awe
Kate Martin is one of the most beloved rookies in the WNBA, by both fans and teammates. Martin was selected with a second-round pick by the defending champion Las Vegas Aces in the 2024 WNBA draft. She was one of four second-round picks to make the opening-day roster.
She’s been a phenomenal asset for the Aces on the floor, but Martin recently went viral for something off the hardwood.
WNBA fans all over social media were raving about a change in her physical appearance. Martin walked into the Aces’ recent matchup against the Minnesota Lynx with a new Hello Kitty backpack that was going viral.
While that’s been a topic of conversation, Martin’s hair braids have stirred many comments on X.
She was rocking the long braid like she did in college with the Iowa Hawkeyes. Some fans were bringing back one of her nicknames, the “braided pony.”
WNBA fans shared some emotional reactions, giving them nostalgia for the iconic Hawkeyes team with Martin, Caitlin Clark, and Gabbie Marshall.
Martin and Clark have since moved their talents to the WNBA, They may hold a professional mindset being in the league for over a month, but fans will always hold their love for Iowa and the 2023-24 roster.
