Prince William and King Frederik were recently spotted together attending the Euro 2024 football tournament.

A recently resurfaced clip of Prince William and Denmark’s King Frederik has sent royal fans into a frenzy on the Prince of Wales’s birthday.

The heir to the British throne turns 42 today, the day after he was reunited with King Frederik, 56, in Frankfurt as the pair watched England draw with Denmark in their second Euro 2024 match.

According to reports, the pair seemed pleased to see each other as they watched their sides draw one all in Germany six months after Frederik ascended to the throne in January.

However, a new clip has emerged of the pair meeting 25 years ago in 1999 when a then 17-year-old William and 31-year-old Frederik attended the christening of Constantine Alexios of Greece.

On that day a fresh-faced Prince William, who attended the ceremony with a broken arm, became the now 25-year-old Constantine Alexios’ godfather.

Photographs from the day display Prince William standing with Crown Prince Pavlos and Crown Princess Marie Chantal outside the chapel after the christening in London.

Meanwhile, the footage shows William and Frederik standing side by side as the ceremony progresses. William can be seen with a full head of hair whilst Frederik had taken the decision to opt for an in-style at the time buzz cut.

Fast forward to 2024 and William is set to mark his 42nd birthday, although what gifts he may receive for his special day are unknown. However, the prince has revealed that in the past he has given his wife, Princess Kate, some unusual presents.

Four years ago, in 2020, William revealed on the BBC’s That Peter Crouch Podcast that he gave Kate a very strange present in the early days of their courtship.
