The New York Liberty have a Chicago Sky problem.

On Thursday, the Sky handed the Liberty their first loss of the WNBA season when they came to New York and defeated the Liberty on their home turf, 90-81.

And barely over two weeks ago, the Sky beat the Liberty by nearly 50 points during the preseason.

Clearly Chicago — and Angel Reese, more specifically — are proving to be New York’s kryptonite.

And at least one of New York’s former WNBA MVP’s is already sick of Reese’s antics.

About 100 seconds into the third quarter of Thursday’s game, Angel Reese cut off 2021 WNBA MVP Jonquel Jones while she was running down the court in transition.

In response, Jones barreled into Reese, sending the “Chi Barbie” sprawling across the floor.

Jones was whistled for a foul on the play, turning the ball over back to Chicago. And Reese was helped up by her teammates with a wide grin on her face.

One X user posted a video of the interaction, saying, “Angel Reese getting into Jonquel Jones head”.

The Liberty and the Sky face off once again on June 4th. Let’s see whether Reese will get under Jones’ skin once again.
