Angel Reese’s Chicago Sky team are currently beating the Connecticut Sun in the third quarter of a busy WNBA Saturday.
And Alyssa Thomas, the Sun’s star player who finished 2nd in 2023 WNBA MVP voting, was just ejected from the game for a vicious foul she had on Angel Reese.
The foul in question came in the third quarter, when Reese and Thomas were battling for a rebound.
As Reese was jumping up for the rebound, Thomas wrapped her arm around Reese’s neck and pushed her backwards. Meanwhile, Thomas’ leg was positioned behind Reese’s, so that the “Chi Barbie” got clotheslined, as well.

Reese went down hard on the play, and landed on what looked to be like her head and shoulders.
The former LSU superstar remained on the ground for a moment before getting up and sitting on Chicago’s bench while the referees reviewed the foul.
Ultimately, the referees decided that Thomas deserved to be ejected for the brutal foul.
Reese could be seen wiping tears out of her eyes before returning to the court and taking her free throws.
Say what you want about Reese, returning to the court after the foul proved that she’s tough as can be.
