Megyn Kelly Criticizes Meghan Markle for Referring to Prince Harry as ‘Her Husband’
Megyn Kelly, the outspoken American media commentator, has launched a scathing critique of Meghan Markle, taking aim at her for repeatedly referring to Prince Harry as ‘her husband’. In a recent episode of her podcast, *The Megyn Kelly Show*, Kelly expressed strong disapproval over Markle’s remarks about Harry and their relationship.
Kelly began her tirade by sarcastically acknowledging Markle’s achievement, stating, “We get it, you bagged the gorilla. Congratulations, you got the big bear, and you want us all to know.” The comment was a direct response to Markle’s podcast, *Archetypes*, where she praised Harry’s involvement in parenting, referring to him as ‘her husband’ in a domestic context.
Joined by Christopher Anderson, author of *The King: The Life of Charles III*, Kelly delved into Markle’s controversial statements made during her Oprah interview, particularly about her lack of knowledge regarding the Royal family before her relationship with Harry. Anderson asserted that like every other young woman, Markle was aware of the Royals, casting doubt on her claims.
Kelly continued her criticism by accusing the Duke and Duchess of Sussex of disparaging the Royals, despite owing much of their fame and fortune to the monarchy. She emphasized their upcoming memoir, *Spare*, which promises to be a candid account of Harry’s life, set to be released amid significant anticipation and controversy.
The book, initially scheduled for release earlier, was postponed due to the Queen’s passing and has been described by publisher Penguin Random House as a work of “raw, unflinching honesty”. However, the announcement of its title, which references the phrase ‘the heir and the spare’, reportedly caught royal relatives off guard and is expected to stir further controversy.
Harry has defended the memoir as a truthful portrayal of his experiences, indicating it will provide insights that could unsettle the royal establishment.
