Iowa Hawkeyes guard Gabbie Marshall and a couple of her teammates were recently in attendance for the Las Vegas Aces versus Minnesota Lynx WNBA matchup. Marshall and the crew had their eyes on one player; star rookie Kate Martin.

The Hawkeyes women’s basketball players were there to cheer on their former teammate, with Marshall posting her appearance on Instagram.

“Go Kate,” said Marshall, via Instagram and Vivian on X.

Martin put on a quality show for her teammates, posting nine points and three rebounds in the Aces’ 80-63 victory. She’s been an incredible weapon for the defending champions after spending six seasons with the Hawkeyes.

Caitlin Clark, Kate Martin & Gabbie Marshall prepare for last game at Carver-Hawkeye Arena

Iowa’s Kate Martin waves to the crowd during a celebration of the Iowa women’s basketball team Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at Carver-Hawkeye Arena in Iowa City, Iowa.

Martin is an experienced rookie. She was a leader at Iowa for women like Marshall and the rest of the team. The Hawkeyes’ 2023-24 squad will go down in history for their roster, starring Caitlin Clark.

Martin and Clark are now wreaking havoc in the WNBA. Marshall and her teammates may be making one stop in their WNBA tour, or a potential visit to one of Clark’s games could be on the horizon.
