Women’s basketball is on the upswing — courtesy of the generational talent that is Indiana Fever’s Caitlin Clark.

Along the way, women’s college basketball stars such as Miami’s Cavinder Twins helped elevate the sport to a national level. But Caitlin doused that popularity with jet fuel, bringing in thousands (even millions) to discover women’s basketball.

The famed Cavinder Twins (Haley and Hanna) joined OutKick’s own dangerous duo (Chad Withrow and Jonathan Hutton) to discuss Caitlin’s impact on women’s basketball and what the newfound attention hauled by Clark has done to improve the sport for all women.

Their praise of Clark’s game comes at a time when fellow WNBA coaches and players step out to cast ‘hate’ on Clark’s popularity, wanting their own credit for the sport’s ascension.

The Cavinder Twins sang a different tune, hailing Clark for bringing more revenue to the sport — the true path for women to receive more pay in the future.

The Cavinder Twins shared their thoughts on “OutKick Hot Mic.”

“I think Caitlin Clark’s a once in a lifetime player,” Haley Cavinder said.

“What she’s done for the game over the last year is insanely good for women’s basketball and just the viewership and the revenue. People are way more intrigued by it.

“You could tell by the March Madness, the viewership compared to the men. So I think what she’s done as a whole, everyone will miss her. I mean, she’s fun to watch. Everyone wants to watch her. … I think the game is growing, and I think it’s a good sport for the younger generation to look up and being able to just inspire them.”

As for the Cavinders — famed NIL millionaires — Hanna is returning to Miami to continue her collegiate career, approaching her fifth year. Haley Cavinder is returning to college ball at Miami after a year-long hiatus.
