Elle Brooke, the Misfits Boxing Women’s Middleweight Champion, has called out Paige VanZant before their upcoming main event boxing match at the MF & DAZN: X Series 15. The 26-year-old remarked that Paige VanZant has a loser mentality after she claimed that the champion doesn’t have the strength and the mindset quite like her coming into their fight.
In 2020, after her exit from the UFC, Paige VanZant had signed a multi-fight contract with the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship. Following this, the 30-year-old launched her own website, and made money through other ventures before signing with Misfits Boxing recently.
After going face-to-face with Elle Brooke, in a recent interview with Misfits Boxing, Paige VanZant talked about her upcoming opponent and said, “Going face-to-face with your opponent especially you have been thinking about for so long. Somebody you wake up and focus on for the last few months and now knowing that she will be in my mind up until the fight.”
“It’s nice to put a face to the name. It’s nice to get eyes on your opponent, put hands on them and get an idea of what their mindset is like. And speaking with her today, I can definitely tell that she doesn’t have the strength and the mindset that I have coming into this,” she added.
In response, Elle Brooke took to her official X account to call out Paige VanZant and said, “What mindset? You were signed to BKFC as their female face, they gave you two stat padded journeywomen to help elevate your status and you lost them both. You have a loser’s mentality, you take easy fights and still lose. You’re about to make that mistake again @paigevanzant…”.
Notably, the main event between Elle Brooke and Paige VanZant for the Misfits Boxing MF & DAZN: X Series 15 will go down on May 25, at the NRG Arena in Houston, Texas, the USA.
