After Haney’s recent loss to Ryan Garcia, Floyd Mayweather, and Bill Haney, Devin Haney’s father, got into a verbal Instagram feud recently.
Bill, Devin Haney’s trainer and father, observed his son being dropped three times and beaten by Ryan Garcia for the first time in his professional career last weekend.
Before the fight, Haney Sr. stated that boxing was entering the “Devin Haney era” and hinted that Mayweather’s retirement resulted from a sparring session with Devin.
These comments didn’t sit well with Mayweather, and as a result, the two got into a furious, protracted confrontation on Instagram Live.
Devin Haney’s Father Has A Verbal Beef With Floyd Mayweather

Haney’s unbeaten streak was shattered last weekend when Garcia dropped him three times en route to a points loss. Despite losing, Garcia was not eligible to win the title since he missed weight by 3.2 pounds; hence, the world champion still held onto his belt. After Garcia’s victory, Mayweather called to congratulate him, but they got into a heated 10-minute altercation with Haney’s father, Bill.
Michael Benson shared a clip of the beef on his social media platform X with the caption “Devin Haney’s father/trainer Bill Haney in a heated ten-minute argument with Floyd Mayweather on Instagram live:”
Mayweather asked Bill on Instagram Live: “I reached out to you to let you know that I don’t have nothing against you, when did you and me go wrong? When did you and me start having beef? Last time I seen you in Miami, we kicked it and had a good time. Now all of a sudden it seems like Bill Haney is my enemy.”
While Bill was talking about Haney’s loss and whining about his perfect 50-0 record, Mayweather was eager to speak up.
“Congratulations on you having an undefeated fighter in the gym, but I am undefeated under the lights. Is your fighter undefeated under the lights? “Bill, I don’t have to have a p***ing contest with you,”
