Prince and Princess of Wales’ £850-a-Night Airbnb Stay Shared in Unseen Photo

Duffryn Mawr Country House, the £850-a-night Airbnb where the Prince and Princess of Wales stayed last year, recently shared an unseen photo of William and Kate with the staff to mark the anniversary of their visit. The Facebook post praised the royal couple as “so kind and friendly,” adding it was a “pleasure” to host them.

The country house, which accommodates 16 people and serves as a wedding venue, is near Brecon Beacons National Park. William and Kate visited the area to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Central Beacons Mountain Rescue. After their stay, they posed for a photo with the staff and signed the guestbook.

Royal Stay and Amenities

Duffryn Mawr boasts seven bedrooms and 74 amenities, including a gym, a spa with a steam room and hot tub, and a children’s den. During their visit, the royals enjoyed their night at the luxurious property before engaging in activities around South Wales, including meeting the Central Beacons Mountain Rescue Team.

Owner Kimberley Fry commented, “They walked in just like locals. We kept their reservation quiet, but the pub locals were very surprised to see them. We felt very privileged to have them here and charged the going rate, as we do for everyone.”

Public Support for Princess Kate

The announcement of the photo comes as Buckingham Palace revealed it has received “tens of thousands” of get well soon cards and gifts for Princess Kate, following her announcement of undergoing preventative chemotherapy for cancer. The princess has withdrawn from public life to focus on her treatment and recovery, receiving overwhelming support from the public.

Despite stepping back from her duties, Kate continues to be involved behind the scenes, particularly with her early years “business taskforce.” However, Kensington Palace emphasized that she still needs time and privacy to recover before returning to her public duties.
