Prince Harry’s comments about Queen Camilla being the “third person in their marriage” have gone viral on TikTok. In a January 2023 interview with Anderson Cooper for “60 Minutes,” while promoting his book “Spare,” Harry described his stepmother as “the villain” who “needed to rehabilitate her image.”

The clip resurfaced on TikTok, garnering over 10,400 likes and 287,000 views in a few days. In the interview, Harry stated, “She was the villain. She was the third person in their marriage. She needed to rehabilitate her image.” Cooper asked if Harry and his brother had asked their father not to marry Camilla, to which Harry replied, “Yes. We didn’t think it was necessary. We thought it was gonna cause more harm than good.”

Harry elaborated that Camilla’s need to improve her public image made her “dangerous” due to her connections with the British press and willingness to trade information. He claimed this dynamic could leave “bodies in the street” due to the family’s hierarchy and her path to becoming Queen Consort.

Harry’s comments sparked controversy, with some viewing them as crossing a line for King Charles III. Petronella Wyatt, a journalist and friend of Camilla, told “Good Morning Britain” that Charles adores Camilla and would be deeply hurt by Harry’s remarks. She added that Camilla would rise above the criticism, continuing her duties without indulging in self-pity.

Wyatt criticized Harry for being hypocritical, noting his stance as a feminist while targeting a 75-year-old woman who can’t respond. She argued that if Meghan were accused similarly, Harry would be outraged. Wyatt defended Camilla, stating she never briefed against anyone and was always kind and sensitive toward the princes.
