Travis Kelce’s latest update at today’s practice with a slightly ‘chubby’ body, it seems he has ‘neglected’ training during his break.
Travis Kelce Returns to Practice Amid Poignant Chiefs Camp, While Taylor Swift Rocks Scotland
Travis Kelce returned to practice with the Kansas City Chiefs on Friday as his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, performed a massive show in Scotland, marking the UK debut of her Eras Tour.
The mood at the Chiefs camp was somber after teammate BJ Thompson went into cardiac arrest during a team meeting on Thursday following a seizure. Fortunately, the 25-year-old Thompson is now awake and responsive in the hospital. In light of these events, the Chiefs canceled Thursday’s practice.
On Friday, Kelce, 34, was seen practicing alongside quarterback Patrick Mahomes in Kansas City. The Chiefs are gearing up for a mandatory minicamp scheduled from June 11-13 as they intensify preparations for the upcoming NFL season.
With his football commitments increasing, Kelce has less time to accompany Swift on her European tour, which runs through August 20. Friday night, Swift played the first of three sold-out shows at Murrayfield in Edinburgh, a 67,000-seat stadium and home to Scotland’s rugby team. She will then perform in Liverpool, Cardiff, London, and Dublin.
Kelce might visit Swift in Liverpool after the Chiefs’ minicamp next week, as she will be performing for two more days after his practice ends. While his exact travel plans are unclear, Kelce has previously expressed his intention to join Swift during the offseason.
The Chiefs will begin their NFL season on Thursday, September 5, at Arrowhead Stadium against the Baltimore Ravens. Kelce and his team aim for a historic third consecutive Super Bowl win, following their victory against the San Francisco 49ers in Las Vegas this past February.
