In honor of the Kansas City Chiefs’ second consecutive Super Bowl victory, President Joe Biden welcomed the team to the White House in Washington, D.C., on Friday. The Chiefs, who had gifted Biden a personalized jersey during their visit the previous year, didn’t leave empty-handed this time either.

Head coach Andy Reid presented Biden with a Chiefs helmet after speeches from the president and team chairman Clark Hunt. Amid calls from some players for Biden to wear the helmet, he obliged. Initially, Biden attempted to put on the helmet while wearing sunglasses but smartly removed them before successfully donning the helmet.

The Chiefs, who previously clinched the championship in the 2019-20 season and the previous year, celebrated their third Super Bowl win in five years. However, they only visited the White House twice, as the COVID-19 pandemic prevented a visit to President Trump in 2020.

During the ceremony, Biden also addressed the shooting that occurred following the Super Bowl title parade in February and acknowledged the role of numerous players and coaches in comforting fans.
