Gary Goldsmith, uncle to Kate Middleton, didn’t mince words when discussing Meghan Markle, suggesting her marriage to Prince Harry may not last. In an interview with The Times, Goldsmith referred to Markle as “Laughing Girl” and criticized her impact on Harry and the country.

“Let’s face it, Laughing Girl isn’t going to be around forever. I think she’s fickle and so bad for Harry and our country,” Goldsmith remarked. He expressed anger over Markle’s allegations of racism within the royal family, though Markle never directly named anyone.

Goldsmith, whose family embraces diversity, defended Kate against Markle’s accusations, stating, “Kate knows her family’s roots and is proud of them. I’m sorry, but Laughing Girl is not good people.”

He also blamed Harry and Markle for affecting William and Kate’s happiness, attributing stressors such as Queen Elizabeth II’s death and Charles’ cancer battle, alongside scandals involving Prince Andrew. Goldsmith criticized Harry and Markle for pursuing American corporate interests, suggesting their choices have disrupted family harmony.
