Angel Reese continued to solidify her status as a social media sensation as she featured hip-hop icon Megan Thee Stallion in a recent TikTok video.
The Chicago Sky rookie previously shared that Megan Thee Stallion, along with Cardi B and Latto, is among the musicians she listens to for inspiration before games.
In the video, the two were seen enjoying Megan Thee Stallion’s track “Girls in the Hood” together.
“Hi twinnnn! THE MF STALLIONSSSSS🤭👅” Reese wrote in her caption.
Later, she tweeted the video, once more referring to Megan Thee Stallion as her twin.
Angel Reese has had a promising beginning to her WNBA career, posting averages of 11.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game while playing 25.8 minutes.
Despite these solid numbers, her shooting percentage in the first two games has been disappointing, with only 34.8% from the field.
In the Chicago Sky’s first victory of the season against the Dallas Wings, Reese contributed 11 points, nine rebounds, two assists and one steal in 25 minutes of play.
She also achieved a plus-17 rating, which was the second-highest on her team.
Angel Reese appears in promo video for NBA Finals
Chicago Sky rookies Angel Reese and Kamilla Cardoso were part of a promotional video for the NBA Finals, where they appeared with NBA legends.
Alongside Queen Latifah, Reese paid tribute to “basketball’s kings and queens,” expressing a sentiment of being champions.
“Champs only,” Reese said.
Reese and Cardoso then playfully placed a crown on their heads.
The promo video also included NBA Hall of Famers Dwyane Wade, Ray Allen, Isiah Thomas and Magic Johnson. The 2024 NBA Finals are scheduled to begin on Thursday, June 6, and will be broadcast on ABC.
Angel Reese is among the distinguished list of players from LSU who have excelled in both men’s and women’s professional basketball leagues.
In the WNBA, LSU has produced three successful former players: Sylvia Fowles with the Minnesota Lynx, Theresa Plaisance with the Washington Mystics and Khayla Pointer with the Indiana Fever.
Angel Reese is poised to follow in their footsteps in the professional arena after being selected by the Chicago Sky as the seventh overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft. Her rookie contract is valued at $324,383.
LSU can also boast of its nine current NBA players, including notable figures like Ben Simmons, Tari Eason and Skylar Mays, as well as the most recent NBA Sixth Man of the Year, Naz Reid.
The university has a rich history of producing basketball legends, including Shaquille O’Neal, Bob Pettit and Pete Maravich.
