The gunmen are believed to have fired multiple shots at the victim as he drove out of a motorcycle dealership.

The local Broward police department has confirmed that they are “investigating a shooting incident at 3671 N. Dixie Hwy., Deerfield Beach. Police received a call at 3:57 p.m. One adult male victim was transported to a local hospital.”

A few minutes later, the announcement added: “The male transported to the hospital has been pronounced dead. The victim has been identified as Jahseh Onfroy, 20 years old, a rapper known by the stage name XXXTentacion.”

Police sources added that there were “multiple gunshots” heard, and the injuries sustained by the victim were “very serious.” The two suspects in the case wore hoodies, with one of them wearing a red mask. Witnesses further informed the police that a Louis Vuitton bag was taken from Onfroy’s car and the motive for the crime could be a robbery.

Footage from the crime scene has been posted on social media, showing the rapper lying motionless in his car seat.
