Kerry Washington and Delroy Lindo return this summer for more family comedy and dysfunction in UnPrisoned season 2.

Kerry Washington’s hit comedy series “UnPrisoned” is set to make a splash with its second season premiering on Hulu this summer. The show, which garnered acclaim for its fresh take on family dynamics and witty humor, will drop all eight episodes on Wednesday, July 17.

Season 2 delves deeper into the Paige and Edwin’s family dynamic. The official description teases that Paige Alexander’s (played by Kerry Washington) therapy practice is in jeopardy, Finn’s anxiety is at an all-time high, and Edwin (Delroy Lindo) is still navigating life post-prison. As the family grapples with complex relationships and buried secrets, they seek unconventional help in the form of a “family radical healing coach.”

Marque Richardson, Faly Rakotohavana, Brenda Strong, Tim Daly, Jee Young Han, and Jordyn McIntosh round out the cast.

Created by Tracy McMillan and helmed by TV veteran Yvette Lee Bowser, “UnPrisoned” has been a standout series on Hulu, drawing viewers with its blend of comedy and heartfelt storytelling.

The series, which premiered in March 2023 and quickly became a fan favorite, follows the life of single mom and therapist Paige Alexander as she navigates the challenges of parenthood, relationships, and her father’s return from prison. With Kerry Washington also serving as an executive producer, “UnPrisoned” has been lauded for its unique perspective on modern family dynamics.
