Prince Louis continued to charm on Saturday during King Charles III’s birthday parade in London, showcasing his playful nature by dancing in the window of Horse Guards Parade as Trooping the Colour unfolded below. The 6-year-old prince was closely watched by his older sister, Princess Charlotte.

Accompanied by their mother, Princess Kate, the Wales children made their first public appearance of 2024 at the event. This marked Princess Kate’s return to royal duties following her cancer diagnosis in March. Prince Louis has earned a reputation as a favorite among royal fans, known for his endearing antics at public events.

Prince Louis Trooping the Colour

In 2022, Louis captured hearts during Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee Trooping the Colour when he engaged animatedly with his great-grandmother and later reacted humorously to a flypast of military jets. His playful side was also evident when he covered his mother’s mouth and sat on his grandfather King Charles’ knee during jubilee celebrations.

During Saturday’s Trooping the Colour, Louis, along with Prince George and Princess Charlotte, rode in a carriage from Buckingham Palace to Horse Guards Parade, waving to well-wishers along the route. After delighting spectators with his dance moves, Louis returned to the palace with his family, eagerly wiping condensation from the carriage window to catch glimpses of the bustling London streets.

Prince Louis celebrated his sixth birthday on April 23, commemorated with a new photograph taken by Princess Kate.
