WNBA rookie Nika Muhl made her league debut against Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever on Wednesday. Muhl was not permitted to play in official league games, due to visa issues on work approval.
Muhl is a prospect from Croatia. She played college basketball at UConn and received a student visa, but that was rescinded following her graduation. After Muhl and the league figured out an answer to this major issue, Muhl was free to play.
She played her first minutes on the floor in the third quarter of the game. Once entering the game, Muhl received a standing ovation from the crowd, and social media was on the same page.

Muhl is one of the most highly favored rookies from the 2024 draft class. She was a star with the Huskies in college and has always carried a high level of stardom on and off the floor.
Fans raved about Muhl once she was available. She was tasked with coming in and competing with Clark right off the bat, but Muhl showed that she belongs in the big leagues.
Fans are loving how well all the WNBA rookies are supporting each other this year.
