Taylor Swift’s irresistible tunes often find their way into unexpected places, even the playlists of those connected to her exes. During an episode of her BBC Radio 1 show Going Home With Vick, Katie, and Jamie, Vick Hope, wife of Calvin Harris, candidly admitted her penchant for Swift’s music. Despite her husband’s romantic history with the pop sensation, Vick confessed to sneaking a few of Taylor’s songs onto her playlist when she has the house to herself.
In a discussion about solo activities while significant others are away, Vick, aged 34, shared her guilty pleasure of indulging in Swift’s melodies when her 40-year-old husband is out. “As soon as my husband goes away, I listen to Taylor Swift,” she revealed. Despite this confession, Vick clarified that she only satisfies her craving with a select few of Taylor’s tracks. “That’s just when I get my little fill — just a little fill. Just a couple of songs, get it out of my system and then it’s done,” she explained.
Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris had a whirlwind romance that lasted just over a year from 2015 to 2016. Despite their breakup, Calvin publicly acknowledged Taylor’s contribution to his Rihanna collaboration “This Is What You Came For,” where she was credited under the pseudonym Nils Sjoberg. He praised her as an incredible lyricist and vocalist but noted that initially, Taylor wanted her involvement to remain anonymous.
Though nearly eight years have passed since their split, speculation among fans persists regarding Taylor’s 2022 track “High Infidelity” and its potential ties to her relationship with Calvin. Some fans have connected the lyric “Do you really want to know where I was on April 29th” to the release date of “This Is What You Came For” in 2016, suggesting that the song may draw inspiration from their past.
