The 2024 NBA draft class is slowly taking shape, and the latest addition is Matas Buzelis from the G League Ignite. Buzelis has informed Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN of his plan to join the draft. Buzelis opted to join the NBA’s feeder program over several top-tier college basketball programs.
In the current season, he has averaged 14.1 points and 6.6 rebounds for the Ignite. Buzelis has an extended frame and quickness, which makes him an excellent shooter and facilitator.

He missed the first three months of the G League season due to ankle issues. However, upon his return, he impressed NBA executives with his passing ability, shot creation, and strong defensive play.
After completing high school, Buzelis achieved remarkable success by being selected as the McDonald’s All-American Gatorade Player of the Year and qualifying for the Jordan Brand Classic and Nike Hoops Summit.
Matas Buzelis’ physique is well-suited for the next level
Subsequently, he decided to skip college and opted to join the G-League Ignite team in preparation for the 2024 NBA Draft. Buzelis is an outstanding player with an ideal combination of size and talent.
Buzelis’ aggressive playing style allows him to easily penetrate the defense and make his way toward the basket. He is also quite proficient in making mid-range shots.
During his preseason break, the 19-year-old focused on strengthening his body to meet the physical demands of playing in the G League.
His physique is well-suited for the next level, and he can continue to improve it during the pre-draft process. The NBA draft of 2024 is scheduled to be held in New York City on June 26–27.
