JoJo Siwa has recently embarked on a bold transformation, drawing inspiration from Miley Cyrus’ iconic Bangerz era.
In a revealing interview with Call Her Daddy, the former child star shared her desire for change and discussed her journey of rebranding.
Famous for her high ponytail and large bows, Siwa has now taken a new direction, as seen in her latest music video for Karma.
Reflecting on her inspiration, Siwa mentioned, “When I was 8, Miley had her Bangerz moment, and I thought, ‘One day, I want to have that.’ I want that.”
The 20-year-old singer showcased her new persona in the music video, sporting a daring cutout catsuit.
Siwa explained, “For years, my inner circle has been anticipating this change. Two years ago, I began writing new music after exiting my Nickelodeon music contract.”
Despite facing criticism for her evolving style, Siwa remains resolute in her artistic vision. “I may not claim to be a singer, but I do claim to be an artist. I’m presenting the world with art, and while it may not be everyone’s cup of tea, it’s something they can’t ignore,” she affirmed.
