Last Saturday’s game against the Las Vegas Aces didn’t go the way Caitlin Clark hoped it would. Not only did the No. 1 pick struggle to shoot the ball, she took a hard foul right to the face.

Sports photographer Bri Lewerke captured a picture of Alysha Clark fouling the talented point guard for the Indiana Fever.

Lewerke’s picture shows just how hard Clark got fouled this past weekend against the two-time defending champions.

Clark is quickly adjusting to the physicality of the WNBA. She has made that abundantly clear this season.

“The physicality is definitely up there. I’m easily pushed off screens,” Clark told reporters earlier this month. “The game seems a little fast for me right now. The more I play and the more comfortable I get, it’s going to slow down a little bit. It will be easier for me to make reads, see things develop.”

With that said, you don’t expect Clark to take a legitimate slap to the face in the middle of the game.

Clark is averaging 15.4 points and 6.3 assists per game for the Fever.

WNBA fans will get to see Clark in action tonight against the Los Angeles Sparks. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. ET.
