Prince Andrew did not appear on the balcony at Trooping of the Colour.

Prince Andrew was slammed by a royal commentator who described him as “pompous” and claimed he will never come back to public life.

The Duke of York stepped down from royal duties in 2019 following the furore over his friendship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

King Charles’s brother caused quite the media storm again in the last year after he was pictured attending some private events with the rest of the royals, including the late Greek King Constantine’s memorial service at Windsor Castle in February.

Andrew was pictured beaming as he led the royals to church for the sombre event.

The royal was in the spotlight again in April, when Netflix released Scoop, a film about his infamous Newsnight interview in 2019, where he was quizzed by broadcaster Emily Maitlis about his friendship with Epstein.

More recently, the duke attended two events at the Order of the Garter Day this week, despite being absent from the royal procession.

Now royal commentator Jennie Bond claimed Andrew will never be seen on the Buckingham Palace balcony ever again.

She told the Sun: “We in the media would make a huge song and dance about it.

“I don’t think there would be jeers from the crowd – but he’s not going to come back to any kind of public role.
