Michael Jordan made a significant investment in his Florida mansion yesterday, with reports suggesting a hefty price tag of approximately $16.5 million. Recently, the former NBA champion and astute entrepreneur acquired a new residence in Jupiter, a town located in Palm Beach County, Florida.
The impressive property, spanning nearly an acre of land, boasts opulent features and amenities. It includes five bedrooms, six bathrooms, a four-car garage, a guest house, and a club room. Situated within the prestigious Bear’s Club, a gated community renowned for its Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course, Jordan’s new mansion is located at 103 West Bears Club Drive.
The transaction was facilitated through an Illinois LLC owned by Jordan, with the sellers, Dr. Michael A. Murphy and Marla, transferring ownership to Bull & Bear LLC. Established in 1999 by Jack Nicklaus and his wife Barbara, the Bear’s Club is celebrated for its luxurious offerings and close-knit community.
Completed in 2017, Jordan’s new abode was represented by agents Jeremy Browne and Thomas Hughes. Meanwhile, Maria Prieto from Keller Williams Capital Realty, who also happens to be Jordan’s mother-in-law, managed the transaction for Jordan’s LLC.
Jordan and his wife, Yvette Prieto, currently reside nearby on a larger estate at 172 Bears Club Drive. This sprawling estate, spanning three acres, features a 28,000-square-foot home, along with a guard house, guest house, pool, basketball court, and gym.
Despite the high demand and a waitlist for membership at the Bear’s Club, available homes in the area are limited. Recent notable sales include Patrick Park’s estate for $19.8 million and Michael Grondahl’s mansion for $14.5 million, underscoring the desirability of this esteemed community.
