Former NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown, known for his tenure with the Pittsburgh Steelers, New England Patriots, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, finds himself embroiled in his latest scandal after hurling a sexist remark at Iowa Hawkeyes’ Caitlin Clark.
Brown, once hailed as one of the top receivers of the 2010s, rose from being a sixth-round pick in the 2010 NFL Draft to achieving a Super Bowl championship in 2020 and securing 83 passing touchdowns throughout his career.
During a game, Caitlin Clark declined to give an autograph to a young fan, prompting Brown’s outburst. However, he seems unable to maintain his composure, evidenced by his involvement in controversies ranging from owning Albany Empire to accusations of sexual assault and domestic violence, culminating in his recent sexist comment towards the 22-year-old athlete.
While Clark was busy breaking records and nearing achievements that had stood unchallenged for 50 years, Brown decided to comment on X, formerly Twitter, remarking, “B**ch look like Mel Gibson.”

As expected, fans thrive on controversy, wasting no time in expressing their reactions on X to Brown’s comments. While many found them humorous, several criticized the ex-NFL player for his remarks.
The tweet garnered 46,000 likes from 11.6 million views, along with 1,700 comments and 51,000 reposts since its upload on February 17 at 11:35.
One user wrote, “@AB84 [Brown] gets triggered when a white person succeeds,”
while another simply stated, “Unfollowed.”
Others urged Brown to delete the tweet or mocked his employment status compared to Clark’s.
One commenter expressed a desire to see Caitlin Clark outshine Brown on the court, confidently asserting that she would.
