Jake Paul has finally agreed with fans by admitting he could easily win his controversial fight against Mike Tyson.
YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul fights heavyweight icon Tyson on July 20 at the Dallas Cowboys stadium in Texas. The fight will be professionally sanctioned despite Tyson finishing his career almost two decades ago when he retired on his stool against journeyman Kevin McBride in his last fight.
Tyson will be 58-years-old on fight night and has to pass heart and brain scans to be eligible to compete. Paul has been slammed by boxing purists for fighting Tyson decades past his prime, and he said on his BS podcast: “I’m certain I’m going to win, I’m going to f*** him up for sure.
“It might just be easy actually, he doesn’t want that smoke. It’s a professional fight now so it’s just war, I’mma —- him up. In the most respectful way possible because I do love him, but you can love a son and you’ve still got to discipline him.”
Tyson vs Paul will be shown exclusively on Netflix, marking the streaming service’s first venture into live combat sports, and Paul has indicated he didn’t expect the amount of attention the bout has received.
“It’s crazy, it’s very surreal because I just feel like a normal — person from Ohio. I’m doing massive —- like this and the whole world is paying attention. I sometimes don’t realise the scope of it, obviously I had dreams of this but when it’s actually happening it’s like ‘Wow’. It just spans all of the generations,” Paul added.

Boxing legend Tyson experienced a health scare earlier this week while on a flight, feeling dizzy and nauseous due to an ulcer flare-up. However, he has since reassured fans that he is “doing great”.
Nathan Howarth, Development and Operations Director at the Concussion Legacy Foundation UK, has warned Tyson about the potential risk of brain injury due to his age.
“Boxing has an inherent risk of concussion, there’s an increased risk of traumatic brain injury we have seen like bleeds on the brain,” Howarth explained in an interview with Betway. “I’m not saying there is any evidence that as an older fighter, Mike would be at risk of that, however, we do know the impacts of subclinical concussions.”
