Isaiah Todd, who last played in the NBA during the 2022-23 season with the Washington Wizards, found himself traded twice over the summer, ultimately landing with the Memphis Grizzlies. However, before the season commenced, the Grizzlies waived Todd. Despite this, owing to his remaining contract, Todd received nearly $2 million for the 2023-24 season.
Drafted as the 31st pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, Todd has seen action in parts of two seasons in the league, primarily with the Washington Wizards. With career averages of 1.6 points and 1.3 rebounds per game, Todd’s shooting percentages stand at 22.2% from the field and 19.2% from three-point range across 18 regular-season games.
At just 22 years old, Todd remains a potentially intriguing free agent prospect for NBA teams to consider signing in the upcoming summer.
Meanwhile, the Memphis Grizzlies, who had made the NBA playoffs for three consecutive seasons, saw their streak come to an end in 2024. Hindered by injuries, they finished as the 13th seed in the Western Conference with a 27-55 record. Despite closing the season with a 3-7 record and a five-game losing streak, the Grizzlies’ talented roster, led by players like Ja Morant, Desmond Bane, Jaren Jackson Jr., and Marcus Smart, holds promise for a potential deep run in the Western Conference playoffs in the 2024-25 season.
