The Caitlin Clark vs. Angel Reese saga continued on Sunday, when the Indiana Fever topped the Chicago Sky in the second matchup of their WNBA careers.

Clark was fouled hard by Reese late in the game. The Sky forward was hit with a flagrant foul for her smack of the Indiana Fever rookie guard.

Since then, there’s been a lot of talk about it on social media, with one ex-NFL quarterback calling for Reese’s suspension.

“It was a basketball play. I can’t control the refs. They affected the game obviously a lot today,” she told reporters.

“I’m always going for the ball. Y’all are going to play that clip 20 times before Monday.”

Reese added: “I guess some people got a special whistle.”

Former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III isn’t happy with the constant Clark vs. Reese debates. He thinks both are being used in a “race war.”

“Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese are being used in a race war that is not fair to either athlete or the game of basketball,” he wrote.

At the end of the day, both Clark and Reese just want to play basketball.

It’s everyone else that is stoking the flames to this rivalry fire.
