Several Celtics players earn spots on the final USA Men’s Basketball roster.

In late February, news broke that the USA men’s basketball program received a commitment from Jrue Holiday to suit up this summer in Paris. There, he’ll join Boston Celtics teammate Jayson Tatum on what could go down as the most talented team in USA men’s basketball’s illustrious history.

On the heels of losing to Team Canada at the FIBA World Cup in September, keeping them from medaling, LeBron James recruited Tatum, Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, and Anthony Davis, among others. Each of them reportedly is prepared to play in France.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the program has finalized 11 of 12 roster spots. Along with the individuals mentioned, Devin Booker, Tyrese Haliburton, Anthony Edwards, Bam Adebayo, and Anthony Davis will also represent the United States at this summer’s Olympics.

Per Wojnarowski, the U.S. men’s basketball program may initially keep its last roster spot vacant.

Jaylen Brown and Derrick White are among those in the 41-player pool Team USA is choosing from, preserving the possibility a third Celtic suits up alongside Tatum and Holiday as the U.S. vies for gold in Paris.
