Upon transferring to Sierra Canyon for her junior year, she played a pivotal role in guiding the team to the Open Division State Title, contributing stellar numbers of 25 points, 10.6 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game.
Watkins’ senior year marked the pinnacle of her high school career, as she delivered her best performances yet, averaging an impressive 27.3 points, 13.8 rebounds, and 3.6 assists. She concluded her high school tenure in spectacular fashion, erupting for a memorable 60-point outing on senior night. Her outstanding achievements earned her prestigious accolades, including the Gatorade National Player of the Year award and consecutive LA Times Player of the Year honors.
Additionally, Watkins showcased her talent on the international stage, representing Team USA in the 2021 FIBA Under-16 Americas Championship.
