Sophia Loren was spotted out in Beverly Hills, California, with friends as she made her way to the luxury Italian restaurant Cipriani. She supported herself with a cane and looked gorgeous in a blue leopard-print blazer and black pants, cheerfully approaching the celebrity hotspot.

Loren’s auburn hair looked gorgeous as she kept it in short voluminous curls reminiscent of her Old Hollywood days. She kept her makeup simple, with soft pink lips, and accessorized with a pair of two-toned glasses. Her rare appearance comes months after her surgery after suffering a fall in her Geneva home.

Loren slipped and fell in her bathroom last September, resulting in multiple fractures in her hip and femur. She immediately had the affected areas operated on and was joined by her sons, Carlo and Eduardo Ponti, in Switzerland as she recovered. She was grateful for the support from fans and promised to be back after “some time off” for rehabilitation.

True to her words, Loren looked incredible as she showed up publicly again, to the public’s relief. The Oscar-winning actress appeared in good spirits and is set to turn 90 in a few months. Per her upcoming birthday, she admitted to feeling “secure” and “happy” on the inside regardless of her health and body changes over the years.

When asked if she was taking a back seat soon, Loren responded, saying she “loves cinema so much” and “intends to make movies forever.” After a decade-long hiatus, she last starred in 2020’s The Life Ahead, directed by her second son, Eduardo, and is looking to take on more roles as they come.

Loren spends most of her time in her beloved Switzerland and enjoys hobbies like reading, gardening, and taking long walks around her neighborhood. She also keeps in touch with her grandchildren via FaceTime and has friends over often. She sometimes gets on a train to Rome to see her sister.
