Caitlin Clark Breaks Silence on “Lazy” Indiana Fever Team Habit With Seven Words

The Indiana Fever play an important WNBA game against the Connecticut Sun on Monday.

Connecticut has been the WNBA’s best team this season so far, owning a 9-1 record on the year.

Caitlin Clark and the Fever have already played the Sun twice this season. They’ve lost both games; one by 21 points and the other by 4.

And during the Fever’s pregame shootaround media availability, Clark explained a habit that her team has fallen into, which has cost them on the defensive end.

“I think it honestly starts with our communication,” Clark said of Indiana’s defensive struggles. “It’s something you have to want to do, and I think at times we can be a little bit lazy.”

“Communication is such a controllable thing,” Clark continued. “That’s something you can always do. And I think at times we let ourselves think we’re tired, so we don’t talk as much on the defensive end. But I think that would solve a lot of our problems that we have had on defense.

“Yeah, I think it can be better,” Clark added of her team’s communication.

The Fever won’t stand a chance on Monday if they remain lazy on defense.
