In celebration of Arbor Day, the City of Winter Springs, Florida, has launched an ambitious initiative to distribute over 1,400 trees to its residents at no cost. This annual Tree Giveaway event is part of a broader effort by the city to foster a greener community and enhance environmental sustainability. Mayor Kevin McCann has officially proclaimed April 26, 2023, as Arbor Day in Winter Springs, calling upon citizens to engage in activities that protect and nurture the local tree population. The tree delivery, in collaboration with A Budget Tree Service Inc., will start on April 24. Each resident who receives a tree will also be provided with a guide on how to care for and maintain their new tree. This initiative underscores the city’s commitment to improving air quality, preventing soil erosion, and enhancing the beauty of Winter Springs.
