Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese sounded off on the refs following Sunday’s loss to Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever.

Reese was called for a flagrant foul for a hard hit on Clark in the second half. Some fans called the play “dirty,” while others said it was just a basketball play.

The former LSU Tigers forward, who struggled with foul trouble on Sunday – something that is not uncommon for her game – sounded off on the refs following the game.

“It was a basketball play. I can’t control the refs. They affected the game obviously a lot today,” she told reporters.

“I’m always going for the ball. Y’all are going to play that clip 20 times before Monday.”

It was a hard foul, but it certainly looked like Reese was at least trying to go for the ball. She missed and hit Clark in the head, so a foul was called.
Fever coach Christie Sides thought the correct call was made.

The right call was made in that moment. … Just make the right call in those moments and we can move forward. When we don’t make the right call in those moments, that’s when there’s a problem,” she said.
