Caitlin Clark Is Shooting Longer Three Pointers Than Steph Curry, Trae Young, and Damian Lilliard Ever Have

Am I crazy or is that not crazy? I’m putting it at an 8 out of 10 on the I don’t even believe that scale. I mean, I would’ve bet a large amount of money that Steph Curry’s highest distance per three point shot EVER was substantially larger than what Caitlin Clark has done through her first 15 games in the WNBA. But if I were to have made that bet, I’d have lost. In fact, I’d have lost that bet for the three deepest shooters that come to mind in the NBA right now:

This blows my mind for a few reasons, none more so than the fact that the NBA three point line is already nearly 2 feet longer than the one the WNBA plays with. So for her to have an average three point shot of damn near SIX FEET behind the three point line, that’s fucking nuts. Plus, obviously the fact that men are genetically stronger would be factored in, although it must be noted that the WNBA ball is slightly smaller as well. It also must be noted that just because she’s shooting them deeper, it doesn’t mean she’s making more of them:

Steph Curry career 3 point percentage: 42.6%

Caitlin Clark career 3 point percentage (15 games): 32.8%

This would be a tough look if Chennedy Carter was right!
But unfortunately for Chennedy, she’s still averaging 6 assists and 5 rebounds a game.

….and she’s responsible for literally 1/3 of the attendance of the entire league:

Now that’s a 10/10 on the crazy scale.
